Welcome to Global Domination, fucko!

ATTENTION! WE ARE LOOKING FOR MORE WRITERS TO ENHANCE THE DOMINATION THAT IS THIS WEBSITE. WE ALSO PUT THIS IN CAPITALS SO YOU WON’T MISS IT, FOUR-EYES. THINK YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES? THEN CLICK THIS LINK AND READ EVERYTHING THOROUGHLY. IF YOU DON’T KNOW WHO WE ARE BY NOW, BELOW IS SOME CRUCIAL INFORMATION.

We are Global Domination. The only metal site you need. We are the rulers. We have dominated the Internet for tons of years now and we grow stronger and more awesome every day. We are also the most visited site on the Internet. Why? We have daily updates from Monday to Friday. That’s why. Or actually, one of the reasons anyways.

If you submit demos and albums to us, know that it will take a few weeks (up to a month or so at times) before you’ll see it reviewed at the site since we have updates pending that far into the future. If it doesn’t end up in the STUBS-section that is. Then you’ll see it as soon as we have had the time to listen to your crap. Also, take note: we prefer metal at this place. So, do you play metal? No? Then fuck you and your shit band. Stay away from us. Oh, and we don’t review 7 inches, so don’t send that shitty format to GD. And no, we don’t download your shitty promos to review. Make an effort and send us the real deal, or don’t bother contacting us. We don’t need you, you need us.

One last thing: make sure not to miss out on all the fan-fucken-tastic forums that we host. You can read all the band forums without registering, but if you wanna take part in all the forums (and would like to post), registration is required. By the way, we have decided to make the Global Domination Area (where people discuss the updates and other shit about the site) of the forums available for everyone to read, but you still can’t post if you are not registered on these forums.

Enjoy yer stay.

Or we’ll punch you in the cunt.

/ Lord K. Philipson & Statik Majik, owners and chiefs of Global Domination.

Interviews

Embers - Steve, Timm, Jerry & Kelly

“- Many of our songs are introduced on a foundation of presenting a story, idea or emotion usually catalyzed by bass or guitar and then adding different individual layers as narratives to build on the journey of our songwriting mostly creating a cyclical process and climax.”

Reviews

Six Feet Under: Undead

The reason why SFU keep receiving attention from their fans, and therefore hatred from their… uh, haters, remains the same: they keep on rocking groovy primitive death metal songs. Sounds like fun to me!

Deep Purple: Burn

Some DP “fans” write off anything post-Gillan as ignorable (hell, Blackmore himself basically does that), but they’re all dead wrong; “Burn” both honors the legacy the Gillian era built, but also adds onto that legacy, showcasing a highly re-energized band.

King Diamond: The eye

“The eye” might not be the definitive release from King Diamond but it’s still earned its place alongside the greats.

Stubs

Burnsred: Burnsred

What we have here is loads of soft-loud-soft-loud dynamics and slow, lumbering riffs that go absolutely nowhere. The songs essentially sound like collages, individual pieces of music strung together with little thought if they work as a whole or not.

Fester: A celebration of death

Imagine merging Dark Tranquillity and Necrophobic… and then stripping both bands of everything that makes either one interesting.

Psychoparalysis: Escalation

Track 1 opens with a tremendous thrashy opening sequence, before settling into Bolt Thrower-esque grooves which not too long after gets overlayed with a great melodious lead section. We’re only a little over a minute into the demo and already I have a smile on my face. Already I know this is going to be another ace demo from these Fins.
